Delete your Dayna account
Delete from inside the app
You can delete your account at any time from inside the Dayna app: open More, choose Account, then tap Delete My Account. You will be asked to enter your password and type DELETE to confirm.
What is removed
Deletion is immediate and permanent. It removes your sign-in details, profile, meal and diary records, photos, feelings and reflections, goals and goal conversations, notification settings, and your connection to your practitioner. Your practitioner loses access to your information at the same moment.
What is kept, and why
A small amount of non-identifying information is kept: de-identified statistics (such as an age range and state) and security audit records that cannot be linked back to you. These are retained for security, accountability and service-administration purposes. If backups exist, deleted information disappears from them within the backup retention period.
Deleting some of your information without deleting your account
You do not have to close your account to remove information. You can delete individual entries from inside the Dayna app at any time:
- A meal or snack log, together with its photograph: open it from Home under Recent logs, or from the Meals tab, then choose Delete on the entry's review screen and confirm.
- A diary entry: open it from the Diary tab, then choose Delete at the end of the editing view and confirm.
- A goal check-in: open the goal conversation from the Goals tab, then delete your own check-in message.
Deleting an entry removes it from your records and from your practitioner's view immediately. Complete removal of all your information happens when you delete your account, as described above.
If you would like other information removed and cannot do it yourself in the app, contact from the email address your account uses, describe what you would like removed, and we will verify and process the request. Your account stays open.
If you can't access the app
If you cannot access the app and need your account deleted, contact from the email address your account uses and we will verify and process the request.
See the Dayna Privacy Policy for full details of how information is handled, retained and deleted.
